No. 6 Arkansas is set to face No. 22 Georgia in a women’s soccer match at Turner Soccer Complex in Athens, Georgia, on Friday night. The game will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be streamed live on SECN+ with Jeff Dantzler providing play-by-play commentary and Weldon Kolker as analyst.

This match marks the third consecutive game against a ranked opponent for Arkansas this season and the eighth overall. Arkansas has posted a record of 3-2-2 against top 25 teams in 2025, including a road win over No. 11 BYU. The teams last met in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals, where Arkansas won 1-0, while Georgia claimed victory in the previous year’s championship game by the same scoreline. Georgia leads the all-time series with a record of 13-7-5.

Georgia comes into the match following a second-straight home draw, tying LSU 1-1 last Sunday. Kiera Staude scored her sixth goal of the season for Georgia before an own goal allowed LSU to equalize three minutes later. Georgia’s offense has been effective late in games, scoring more than half of its goals in the second half this season.

Arkansas has maintained strong performance within SEC play since 2020, winning three regular season titles and appearing in three tournament finals since then. The Razorbacks have recorded 43 conference wins and five ties out of 54 matches during this period and have outscored their SEC opponents by 85 goals.

In their most recent outing, Arkansas came from behind to defeat No. 13 Mississippi State 4-2 after conceding two early goals. Sophomore Kyndal Ewertz scored twice for her first collegiate brace, while senior Taylor Berman added another goal assisted by freshman Presley Marvil.

The Razorbacks are facing one of the toughest schedules nationally this year, playing five of the top fifteen teams and seven of the top twenty-five according to NCAA rankings.

Arkansas’ preseason preparations included two exhibition matches against UT Martin and Oral Roberts, where newcomers contributed significantly to scoring.

The team entered the season ranked No. 6 in United Soccer Coaches’ preseason poll—its highest ever—and was predicted by league coaches to win the SEC regular season championship.

Recruitment efforts have also strengthened Arkansas’ roster with its incoming class ranked No. 19 nationally by TopDrawerSoccer—the program’s first top-25 class under head coach Colby Hale since he began his tenure in 2012.

Transfer additions include BYU midfielder Erin Bailey, Seminole State forward/midfielder Aniyah Nurse-Whyte, and Utah goalkeeper Evelyn Vitali—all bringing experience from their previous programs.

Sophomore goalkeeper Keegan Smith had an impactful debut season in 2024, tying Arkansas’ single-season shutout record and earning All-SEC honors as a freshman. She received call-ups to U.S. youth national team training camps earlier this year.

Freshman forward Vailana Tu’ua made an immediate impact by recording multiple goals early in her collegiate career and earning SEC Freshman of the Week honors.

At home, Arkansas remains dominant with only three losses in its last fifty-two matches at Razorback Field dating back to August 2021.

Forwards Bella Field returned from injury to score key goals recently while several players rank among conference leaders in points and assists so far this season.
