The Arkansas Razorbacks women’s volleyball team faced the LSU Tigers on Sunday, resulting in their first Southeastern Conference (SEC) loss of the season. Despite a strong start in the opening set, Arkansas fell to LSU in four sets with scores of 25-12, 17-25, 21-25, and 23-25.

Freshman outside hitter Parker Duncan recorded her second consecutive match with over 20 kills, finishing with 20 and a .283 hitting percentage. Lakin Laurendine added 19 kills for the Razorbacks and hit .255.

Setter Kiki Remensperger posted 43 assists and 10 digs, marking her ninth double-double of the season. Libero Kylie Weeks led the team with 12 digs, while defensive specialist Gaby Cornier contributed 10.

LSU outperformed Arkansas at the net, recording 17 blocks compared to just one by the Razorbacks.

Attendance for Sunday’s match at Barnhill Arena reached 3,081 fans. This was the highest attendance for an Arkansas volleyball match since the 2023 season and ranks as the sixth-highest in program history.

In set one, Arkansas quickly established control with a series of scoring runs that led to a decisive 25-12 win. The Razorbacks hit .400 in this set while holding LSU to a -.067 hitting percentage.

Momentum shifted in set two as LSU built a lead following the media timeout and secured a 25-17 victory to even the match at one set apiece.

The third set saw LSU take an early advantage before Arkansas narrowed the gap late in the frame. However, LSU closed out the set at 25-21.

Set four was closely contested with several ties early on. After taking a narrow lead mid-set, Arkansas could not hold off a late run by LSU. The Tigers clinched both the set (25-23) and match after back-to-back points from Duncan were answered by an LSU kill.

Arkansas will continue its SEC schedule next week with away matches against Missouri on Friday, October 3 at 7 p.m., and Vanderbilt on Sunday, October 5 at noon. Both matches will be available via streaming on SEC Network+.
