The Arkansas Razorbacks women’s gymnastics team, ranked eighth nationally, achieved a season-high team score in their 197.475-192.675 victory over Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) on Friday. The event took place after a change in schedule but did not affect the Gymbacks’ performance.
The team’s total of 197.475 ties for the sixth-highest score in program history. The floor exercise was a highlight, with Arkansas earning an event score of 49.525, marking its best floor result so far this season and currently ranking as the third-highest floor score in the nation.
Arkansas secured first place in every individual event: Morgan Price won vault with a 9.900; Price and Leah Smith shared top honors on bars with scores of 9.875; Joscelyn Roberson led beam with a 9.950; and Frankie Price, Roberson, and Lauren Williams tied for first on floor, each scoring 9.925.
Morgan Price claimed the all-around title with a personal-best total of 39.600 points. Hailey Klein finished second at 39.350, also setting a career high, while Allison Cucci placed third with 39.200.
In vault competition, redshirt senior Cami Weaver made her season debut and scored 9.825 on her Yurchenko full routine as lead-off. Smith and Cucci followed with matching scores of 9.875, Klein contributed a 9.825 for her Yurchenko 1.5, Williams posted a 9.875 for her own Yurchenko 1.5 despite a minor landing adjustment, and Morgan Price anchored the lineup with a strong performance scoring 9.900.
On bars, Klein opened with a solid routine earning a 9.875 before senior Cally Swaney added a 9.750 in the second spot. Leah Smith delivered midway through the rotation by sticking her double layout dismount to earn Arkansas’ highest bar score of the night at 9.900; Avalon Campbell followed with a routine worth 9.775; Cucci earned another solid mark at 9.750; and Morgan Price closed out bars for Arkansas by matching Smith’s leading score of 9.900.
Arkansas continued its consistency on beam with its second consecutive rotation total of over forty-nine points (49.400). Madison Gustitus started off scoring 9.825; Klein matched that result next; after Cucci’s routine netted her a score of 9.700, Weaver rebounded from last week’s fall to set her season high at 9.875; Morgan Price then earned her second straight beam score of 9.925 before Roberson concluded the event for Arkansas by posting her third consecutive week scoring above nine-nine-five (beam: 9.950).
On floor exercise—the team’s strongest showing—Klein led off at 9.825 before both Morgan Price and Cucci registered scores of 9.875 each as part of their all-around campaigns; Williams, Frankie Price, and Roberson completed back-to-back routines each awarded a score of 9.925.
Looking ahead, Arkansas will travel to Gainesville next week to face top-ranked Florida Gators in their first Southeastern Conference road meet of the season on Friday, January 30 at 6:30 p.m., which will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and tracked via Virtius live scoring.
