The Arkansas gymnastics team has achieved a record academic performance for the 2024-25 academic year, setting a new program high for team grade point average and earning recognition from the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA).
According to the WCGA’s latest academic report, Arkansas ranked 21st nationally with a team GPA of 3.72. This figure represents both a new program best and the second-highest among Southeastern Conference (SEC) teams. The Razorbacks were one of only 25 collegiate gymnastics programs nationwide to post a GPA above 3.70. It marks the ninth time Arkansas has finished in the top 25 for team GPA, its first appearance since 2016, and is the highest placement during head coach Jordyn Wieber’s tenure.
Fourteen athletes from Arkansas received WCGA Scholar All-America honors, which are awarded to gymnasts maintaining at least a 3.5 GPA. This number sets another program record, continuing a trend in which Arkansas has had at least ten Scholar All-Americans in five out of six years under Coach Wieber.
Athletes Chandler Buntin, Grace Drexler, Reese Drotar, Kaity Ewald, Kalyxta Gamiao, Maddie Jones, Ja’Leigh Lang, Priscilla Park, Frankie Price, Leah Smith, Cally Swaney, Mati Waligora, Julianna Weeks and Lauren Williams were recognized as Scholar All-Americans. Among them, Buntin, Drotar, Ewald, Gamiao, Park, Price, Smith and Waligora achieved perfect GPAs of 4.0. This total places Arkansas second in the SEC for athletes with perfect GPAs—just behind Alabama.
All members of the Razorbacks gymnastics team also received either SEC Winter Honor Roll or First Year Honor Roll recognition for their academic achievements during this period.
