No. 11 Arkansas will host the Wooo Pig Classic at the Randal Tyson Track Center on Saturday, marking the return of the event for the first time since its initial run in 2021. The meet will feature a range of teams including Central Arkansas, Coffeyville Community College (Kansas), Grambling State, Harding, Houston Christian, Little Rock, Louisiana Monroe, Louisiana Tech, Missouri State, Notre Dame, Northwestern State, and Pittsburg State.
The competition is set to begin at noon Central Time and will be streamed live on SEC Network+. Live results can also be accessed through Flash Results.
Arkansas men’s head coach Doug Case commented on recent challenges facing his team. “First of all we want to get rid of the flu bug, that destroyed us last weekend,” Case said. “I think there were over 10 guys who all of sudden came down with the flu. It all hit last Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It was interesting how it got us.”
He added that this week’s meet would be approached differently due to health concerns: “This meet is going to be very low key for us kind of for that reason. There are some things we want to do. We want to run Jerome Campbell, one of our good hurdlers, in the 60m. He’s a pretty good sprinter, so we want to see where is he in that event.”
Jerome Campbell recently posted times of 7.57 seconds—ranking him fourth all-time at Arkansas—in addition to 7.62 and 7.65 seconds over three rounds in the 60m hurdles last weekend. Campbell was runner-up at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships with a career best of 7.49 seconds in hurdles and holds a personal best of 6.66 seconds in the flat 60m from two years ago.
Campbell will compete alongside teammates Kevin Bello, Juriad Hughes Jr., and Tevijon Williams in the 60m race; Bello will also take part in the 200m together with Jelani Watkins.
Watkins made his debut as a Razorback last weekend by running a near-personal record time of 20.88 seconds in the 200m and setting a new best mark of 6.60 seconds in the 60m dash.
“He’s going to get used to that more, going up and down the curves, just with practice,” Case said regarding Watkins’ adaptation to Arkansas’ banked track facilities for indoor racing. “We work on that stuff a couple of times a week, just learning how to run our turns and everything. I think when he really figures it out he could be a threat in the 200m indoors this year.”
Other events scheduled include Abdoul Sy-Savane and Karamoko Sacko contesting the hurdles along with multi-event athletes Jaxon Bair and Cooper Williams; Hughes is entered in both long jump while Lind Lindsey will participate in long jump and triple jump.
Middle distance entries feature Eli Seavey, Dawson Welch and Jack Williams competing in the mile while Owan Logorodi races over 800 meters; Seavey is also set for action in the men’s 3,000 meters alongside Trey Caldwell.
Case noted adjustments for relay participation: “We’ll run a 4 x 400m relay since we didn’t get to run one at the Razorback Invitational,” he said.“Again, I don’t think I can load it up because I don’t think I have guys ready to do it yet with the flu situation.”
“It’s going to be limited with us in what we try to do this weekend,” Case concluded.”It’s kind of a heal up week for us as we get ready for the Tyson Invitational next weekend.”
