LaMarcus Hicks II, a defensive back from Clarksdale, Mississippi, has joined the Arkansas Razorbacks after spending his freshman year at Iowa State. Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 195 pounds, Hicks redshirted during the 2025 season with the Cyclones. He appeared in three games on special teams but did not record any statistics.
Hicks attended Maine West High School in Des Plaines, Illinois, for his senior year under head coach George Klupchak. Before that, he played at Clarksdale High School in Mississippi for coach Curtis Kemp. He was recognized as a three-star prospect and ranked among the top 60 players in Illinois by ESPN and On3.
During his senior season at Maine West, Hicks contributed on both offense and defense. He helped lead his team to an 8-2 record and a playoff appearance. On defense, he recorded 39 tackles, two tackles for loss, two interceptions, and one forced fumble. Offensively, he caught 40 passes for 619 yards and scored eight touchdowns. Hicks also participated in basketball during high school.
He was named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in 2025.
