No. 8 Arkansas Razorbacks women’s soccer team lost 2-0 to No. 3 Duke on Thursday night at Razorback Field, bringing their season record to 1-2-1. The match opened with an early opportunity for Arkansas, as sophomore Kyndal Ewertz had a shot inside the box in the second minute, but Duke goalkeeper Caroline Dysart made the save.
Duke took control with two goals—one from junior Mia Minestrella in the ninth minute, assisted by senior Devyn Lynch, and another from Lynch late in the match. Arkansas tried to respond, generating several chances from set pieces and recording 11 free kicks and 11 corner kicks.
Duke outshot Arkansas 27-12, with Arkansas goalkeeper Keegan Smith making eight saves during the game.
This match concluded a four-game homestand for Arkansas, which included games against highly ranked Notre Dame and Georgia Southern. The Razorbacks will now begin a three-game road stretch starting Tuesday, September 2. That match is scheduled for an 8 p.m. CT kickoff and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
