DJ Hairston, a defensive back from Starkville, Mississippi, has signed with the Arkansas Razorbacks. Hairston is transferring after playing at Hinds Community College and previously attending Mississippi State.

During his freshman season at Hinds CC in 2025, Hairston appeared in all nine games. He recorded 18 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss. He also recovered one fumble and made two interceptions. Notable performances included recovering a fumble and making three tackles against Itawamba CC in the season opener, intercepting a pass and adding two tackles against East Mississippi CC, and matching his season-best of three tackles with a tackle for loss at Pearl River CC. In the season finale against Gulf Coast, he intercepted another pass and made two tackles.

Hairston’s signing adds depth to Arkansas’ defensive backfield as they prepare for the upcoming football season.
