The Arkansas Razorbacks men’s basketball team has signed Abdou Toure, a two-time Connecticut Player of the Year and one of the top 30 high school basketball prospects in the country.

Toure, who is listed at 6-foot-5 and 205 pounds, played for Notre Dame High School in West Haven, Connecticut. He has been recognized as the top player in his state by several recruiting outlets and was ranked nationally as high as No. 29 by both On3 Industry and Rivals. ESPN placed him at No. 31 overall, while 247Sports Composite ranked him at No. 34.

Toure’s accolades include being named Connecticut MaxPreps Player of the Year in both 2024 and 2025, as well as earning CTInsider.com Player of the Year honors and first team All-State selections during those years. In addition, he was awarded the Connecticut Gatorade Player of the Year for the 2024-25 season after averaging 25.1 points per game as a junior.

During his junior year, Toure became Notre Dame’s all-time leading scorer with over 1,400 career points and helped lead his team to a combined record of 52-2 over two seasons. He guided Notre Dame to back-to-back state championships, including a perfect season in 2024 (28-0) and a Division I title in his junior year when he scored 27 points and collected 20 rebounds in the championship game.

His junior season averages included 25.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.3 steals per game while shooting over 75 percent from the field and making more than one-third of his three-point attempts.

Earlier in his career, Toure earned second team All-South Connecticut Conference honors as a freshman before playing for BABC on the Adidas 3SSB circuit this year where he averaged over fifteen points per game.

Internationally, Toure represented Guinea at the FIBA U17 World Cup in 2024 where he had standout performances such as scoring fifty points against China and recording a double-double against Australia with thirty-six points and ten rebounds.

Toure’s full name is Abdouramane Toure; he is the son of Mamoudou Toure—a former standout player at Hyde Leadership School—and Bountou Camara.
