The Arkansas Razorbacks softball team, currently ranked No. 7/9 nationally, is set to begin Southeastern Conference (SEC) play this weekend by hosting No. 12/15 Georgia at Bogle Park in Fayetteville from March 6-8. After the three-game series, the Razorbacks will travel to Springfield, Missouri for a matchup against Missouri State on March 9.
The SEC series against Georgia will be streamed live on SEC Network+, with Josh Haley and JB Brazeal providing commentary on Friday, Haley and Sydney Parr Lee on Saturday, and Brazeal and Parr Lee concluding the series on Sunday. The game against Missouri State will be broadcast on ESPN+.
Arkansas enters conference play with a 19-1 record and a 17-game winning streak, which is tied for the fifth-longest in the nation and is the second-longest in program history. Fourteen of those wins have come by run-rule margins. The team’s recent performance includes six victories at last weekend’s Razorback Invitational.
Nationally recognized as one of the top programs, Arkansas has been ranked in the Top 25 of the NFCA Coaches poll for a program-best 93 consecutive weeks since 2020. It is one of only five programs to appear in every NFCA Coaches Poll since that year.
Senior infielder Karlie Davison has contributed significantly this season, batting .489 with six doubles, a triple, five home runs, and leading the team with 23 RBIs and 15 runs scored. Her OPS of 1.556 ranks second among all Division I second basemen this season.
On the mound, senior left-handed pitcher Robyn Herron remains undefeated at 8-0 with a 1.31 ERA and has recorded 71 strikeouts over just over 37 innings while holding opponents to a .125 batting average. Herron recently threw her third career no-hitter and was named both SEC Pitcher of the Week and Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week in February.
Defensively, Arkansas leads NCAA Division I softball with a .991 fielding percentage this season after posting an errorless streak spanning eleven games earlier in February. Last year’s .984 fielding percentage led all Division I teams.
Recent transfer Dakota Kennedy has also made an impact for Arkansas by hitting seven home runs so far this season—including three in one game against Kansas—becoming just the third player in program history to achieve that feat.
Freshman Brinli Bain leads Arkansas hitters with a .532 batting average through twenty games and has reached base safely in every contest—a first for any freshman in program history.
Reagan Johnson continues to climb Arkansas’ all-time records; she is now second all-time in career batting average (.374) and third in stolen bases (60). She needs fourteen more hits to break Hannah McEwen’s school record of 261 hits.
Historically strong when scoring eight or more runs, Arkansas holds a record of 295-9 overall—and under head coach Courtney Deifel (since 2016), they are now on a streak of winning their last 107 such games.
Georgia arrives with an overall record of 18-5 under head coach Tony Baldwin. Sarah Gordon leads Georgia offensively with a .541 average while Randi Roelling heads their pitching staff with an ERA of 3.20 across more than fifty innings pitched.
Missouri State holds an 11-8 record entering Monday’s contest; Riley Baber leads their offense while Emily Koranda anchors their pitching staff under head coach Kasey Griffith.
This season marks thirty years since Arkansas Softball played its first official game; since then, it has accumulated over nine hundred wins across four head coaches.
