The Arkansas Razorbacks women’s volleyball team is set to begin Southeastern Conference play this weekend with two home matches at Barnhill Arena. The team will face Ole Miss on Friday and LSU on Sunday.
Both Ole Miss and LSU are currently in the middle of the SEC standings after finishing their non-conference schedules. Ole Miss holds an 8-3 record, while LSU stands at 7-4.
Ole Miss has played at least four sets against each of its three Power 4 opponents this season, including a five-set loss to Miami on September 10. The Rebels rank fifth in the SEC for aces per set at 1.80 and have standout players leading key statistical categories: Gabi Placide in kills per set (4.73), Mokihana Tufono in assists per set (10.61), and Cammy Niesen in digs per set (4.27).
LSU also faced a challenging preseason, playing three ranked teams, with all but one match going at least four sets. Jurnee Robinson leads the SEC in total kills with 200 and is second in kills per set with 4.88. Over the past five seasons, the series between Arkansas and LSU is tied at 3-3, but LSU has visited Fayetteville only once during that span—a match that Arkansas won 3-1.
Friday’s match against Ole Miss begins at 7 p.m., while Sunday’s game versus LSU starts at 3 p.m. Tickets are available online, in person, or by phone through the Razorback Ticket Center, and both matches will be streamed live.
Doors open one hour before each match. Parking will be available in lots surrounding Barnhill Arena.
