The Arkansas Razorbacks women’s swimming and diving team secured first place at the All-Arkansas Invite, held Saturday. The team finished with a score of 572 and won every event in the competition.

This year’s All-Arkansas Invite marked its return since 2022 and included teams from University of Arkansas, University of Arkansas-Little Rock, Henderson State University, Hendrix College, Ouachita Baptist University, and Harding University Club Team.

Arkansas swimmers claimed victories in all 11 races. Senior Sydney Craft earned wins in both the 200 Butterfly and 500 Freestyle events. Freshman Ellen Garritson took first place in the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke.

Other top finishers for the Razorbacks were junior Harriet Rogers (50 Freestyle), freshman Alice Beltrame (100 Butterfly), senior Delaney Harrison (100 Freestyle), and freshman Mari Griffin (100 Backstroke). The team also swept all three relay races.

Head coach Neil Harper commented on the team’s performance: “We were focused and energetic today. The entire team had a great attitude and were excited to race in our first competition of the year,” he said. “The seniors led by example and our nine freshmen were impressive in their first meets as Razorbacks. I am encouraged with our improvement and attention to detail with new technique and race strategies. I thought it was a great way to start out season.”

The Razorbacks are scheduled to compete again on Friday, Oct. 3 in Springfield, Missouri against Drury University.
