Three members of the Arkansas Razorbacks women’s tennis team will participate in the Cyclone Invitational in Ames, Iowa, from October 3 to 5. The event is hosted by Iowa State and includes players from Arkansas, Iowa State, Kansas State, Iowa, and Minnesota.

The format pairs players into teams of two. Each day, matches begin between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Teams compete in a round robin system that starts with an eight-game doubles set—requiring a tiebreaker if tied at seven games—followed by two singles matches played as best-of-three sets with a full third set. A team must win at least two out of three matches (doubles or singles) to claim the overall match victory.

Arkansas representatives Arina Babenko and Alexandra Panagiotidou will open play Friday against Jeselle Ante and Sofia Pinto from Minnesota in doubles competition. In singles action, Babenko faces Ante while Panagiotidou plays Pinto.

Later on Friday afternoon, Razorback Glennah Lanford will pair with Kira Smith of Iowa State to take on Addison Renfro and Mallory Renfro from Kansas State. Lanford is also scheduled for a singles match against Renfro.

Additional results and information about the weekend’s tournament can be found on the tournament website.
