Arkansas women’s basketball experienced its first home loss of the 2025-26 season, falling to Harvard 69-51 on Sunday in Fayetteville. The Razorbacks, now holding a 7-2 record, trailed by as many as 24 points during the game.
The match began with Arkansas gaining possession and Ashlynn Chlarson scoring the initial point from the free-throw line. Harvard’s Saniyah Glenn-Bello responded with a three-pointer for the Crimson. Early in the first quarter, both teams were tied at seven points before Arkansas went through a nearly three-minute scoring drought. During this period, Harvard committed four turnovers but finished the quarter strong with a 10-0 run and led 23-12.
In the second quarter, Arkansas forced two early violations from Harvard but continued to struggle offensively. Jenna Lawrence scored Arkansas’s first points of the quarter with a three-pointer. By halftime, Harvard had outrebounded Arkansas 17-9 and led in shooting percentage (53.3% to 40.9%). Katie Krupa of Harvard was the top scorer at halftime with 14 points.
After halftime, Chlarson quickly accumulated two fouls for Arkansas while Harvard extended its lead to 24 points with a 5-0 run. However, Arkansas answered back with an eight-point run and closed out the third quarter trailing by eleven after finishing on a 17-4 streak.
In the fourth quarter, Taleyah Jones reduced Harvard’s lead to nine points by making two free throws. Despite limiting Krupa to just one point in the second half, Arkansas faced another prolonged scoring drought late in the game.
Arkansas struggled at the free-throw line throughout, converting only 60% of their attempts (12-for-20). Defensively, they allowed Harvard to make twelve three-pointers—the most given up by Arkansas this season. Taleyah Jones led her team in scoring for a sixth consecutive game with nineteen points. The team also faced its largest deficit so far this season at twenty-four points.
Next up for Arkansas is an away game against SMU on Thursday, December 4 as part of the ACC-SEC Challenge.
