The Arkansas Razorbacks women’s cross country team has released its schedule for the 2025 season, which features six meets and includes two home events at Agri Park in Fayetteville.
Entering their third season under head coach Chris Johnson and the first cross country campaign with distance coach Marc Burns, the Razorbacks will start the season with two trips to Columbia, Missouri. The team is set to compete at the Missouri Opener on August 29 and return for the Missouri Pre-National Invitational on October 18. The Gans Creek facility in Columbia will also serve as the site for the 2025 NCAA Championships on November 22.
On October 4, Arkansas will host the 37th Chile Pepper Festival at Agri Park. Collegiate races are scheduled to begin at 10:25 a.m. and 11 a.m., featuring both the McDonnell Memorial 8k and Harter’s Habanero 5k. Additional details about race times can be found on the official festival website at https://www.chilepepperfestival.org/schedule/.
The SEC Championships are scheduled for October 31 in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Razorbacks have secured a record-setting total of 22 league titles in cross country, including a streak of nine consecutive championships that concluded with their most recent win in 2021 on the Gans Creek course.
Arkansas will also host the NCAA South Central Region meet on November 14 at Agri Park. The program currently holds a winning streak of thirteen years in this regional event and narrowly claimed victory over Texas by one point during last year’s competition held in College Station. Historically, Arkansas has won each of the past five South Central Regional meets it has hosted, achieving a perfect score of fifteen points when claiming the title in 2019. The top two teams from this regional meet earn automatic qualification to compete at nationals.
