Arkansas defensive lineman Cam Ball has been named a semifinalist for the 2025 Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award, according to an announcement from Jason Witten’s SCORE Foundation. Ball is among 20 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) players selected as semifinalists and is one of six representatives from the Southeastern Conference.
The award, presented by Albertsons and Tom Thumb, recognizes college football players for their leadership both on and off the field. The honor is associated with Jason Witten, who was known for his leadership during his 16-year professional football career and received several community service awards, including the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award in 2012.
Ball has participated in over 120 community service events during his time at Arkansas. He founded a non-profit organization, organized a teddy bear drive for children’s hospitals, worked with local schools and homeless communities, and hosted a youth football camp.
On the field, Ball has played in 45 games with 26 starts for Arkansas. In his current season as a redshirt senior, he has recorded 11 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss and four quarterback hurries. Last season as a redshirt junior, he started all 13 games and made a career-high 47 tackles.
Three finalists for the award will be announced on December 15. The winner will be revealed at an award ceremony scheduled for April 16, 2026 at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
Arkansas will begin a three-game homestand this weekend against Texas A&M at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. The game is set to start at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 18 on ESPN.
