0Comments

Springdale Water Utilities has contracted with Trekk Design Group, LLC to perform smoke testing of the sanitary sewer system within the Turner St area. The work is planned to begin on October 24th, 2022 and end on October 28th, 2022. The work to be performed will move fairly quickly and will utilize a moving work zone with traffic control systems that meet all City of Springdale requirements. Please be advised that the provided dates are dependent on weather and are subject to change.

The purpose of smoke testing is to locate sources of sewer odors, leaks, and breaks in sewer lines. The type of smoke used is harmless, white in color, and may have a slight odor. The area of work is shown in the Sanitary Sewer Smoke Testing Location Map enclosed within. Notification letters have been mailed to the affected property owners with a number to call if they have any questions or concerns.

The hours of operation will be from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Springdale Water Utilities personnel will be on site with Trekk Design Group, LLC. Please contact Jonathan Castillo with Springdale Water Utilities at 479-751-5751 for any questions or comments.
