HogTown, the pregame gathering spot for Arkansas Razorback fans, will open its season festivities this Saturday on Maple Street, just north of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. The event is scheduled to start four hours before the Razorbacks face Alabama A&M and will end 15 minutes prior to kickoff.

Covington Creek will perform live at 11:30 a.m. on the main stage, bringing a mix of country and Southern rock to attendees. Organizers describe Covington Creek as being “known for their tight harmonies and crowd-pleasing sound” and promise a “high-energy” show.

The HogTown event offers a range of activities for fans of all ages. According to organizers, “Live Music & Pep Rally featuring the Razorback Spirit Squads, Mascots, and Marching Band,” along with food trucks, a beer garden near the main stage, a big screen videoboard airing live college football games, and a Family Fun Zone with inflatables, balloon artist, caricatures and face painting are among the attractions available. There will also be free giveaways from sponsors including Ford, Coca-Cola, Dollar Shave Club and University of Arkansas Advancement.

Food vendors at HogTown include Arkan-Thaw Ice Shavers serving handcrafted syrups on shaved ice; Atomic Dog offering hot dogs; Carsten Concessions with carnival foods like corn dogs and funnel cakes; Downtown Dawgs serving hot dogs; Fannie Mae’s Kitchen providing soul food; Jarabes Tapatios with natural fruit syrup shaved ice; Monster Food Truck; Chelle’s Burger Joint featuring Black Angus burgers; Jeffersons Mobile Grilling with ribs and turkey legs; Food Therapy offering home-style meals; and Meg’s Food Truck serving chicken strips and mac & cheese.

The schedule begins at 11:00 a.m. when HogTown opens on Maple Street. Covington Creek takes the stage at 11:30 a.m., followed by a performance by the Razorback Marching Band Drumline outside Gate 14 at 12:30 p.m. A pep rally in Lot 44 starts at 12:50 p.m., featuring the Spirit Squads and Marching Band. The Hog Walk with Coach Sam Pittman and the Razorback Football team is set for 1:00 p.m., after which HogTown closes at 2:45 p.m. The game against Alabama A&M begins at 3:20 p.m.

For logistical purposes, Maple Street between Stadium Drive and Razorback Road will be closed to traffic starting Friday evening at 7:00 p.m., reopening after the second quarter on game day. Access to Lot 300 near Frank Broyles Athletic Center remains available via Stadium Drive or Razorback Road during this period.
