Whether they’re a current law enforcement officer, or have moved to another career, or have retired, we don’t want to ever forget the sacrifices these public servants make for our communities, because protecting our communities always has…and always will…require great sacrifice by those who look out for us…..sometimes the ultimate sacrifice….sometimes leaving forever scars….and we don’t want to ever forget….

On March 24, 1981 (42 Years Ago TODAY), off-duty Fayetteville Police Officer John Schuster was shot twice by a suspect in the murder of West Fork Police Chief Paul Mueller on March 20, 1981.

On this, the anniversary of John’s shooting, even though these two words aren’t enough….

…we want to say THANK YOU, John Schuster….for your many years of dedication, and for the many sacrifices you made while serving and protecting our community!
