Seven athletes from the Arkansas Razorbacks will compete at the fifth North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) Senior Championships this weekend in Freeport, Grand Bahama. The event, which runs from Friday to Sunday, features Razorbacks representing five different countries.

Shafiqua Maloney, competing for St. Vincent and the Grenadines, is entered in the 800m. Maloney finished fourth in the 2024 Olympics 800m and set a personal best of 1:57.59 during the Olympic semifinals. She has recorded a season-best time of 1:58.00 in 2025 and has run under two minutes nine times this season.
Krissy Gear is the only Razorback on Team USA for this event. She finished fourth at the USATF Championships with a career-best time of 9:11.64 in the 3,000m steeplechase.
The Jamaican team includes Nickisha Pryce, Nia Robinson, and Tyrice Taylor. Pryce, a three-time national champion, is scheduled to race in both the 400m and as part of Jamaica’s 4 x 400m relay team. Robinson will compete in the long jump.
Tyrice Taylor recently won Jamaica’s national title in the 800m and is aiming to meet the World Championship standard of 1:44.50 or improve his world ranking status.
Tai Brown will represent Barbados in the 110m hurdles while LaQuan Nairn returns home to compete for host nation Bahamas in the long jump.
Events featuring Razorbacks include men’s and women’s sprints, hurdles, jumps, middle-distance races, steeplechase, and relays across all three days of competition.
