St. Raphael Church – Springdale issued the following announcement on April 6.

Catholics Returning Home is making a come back this year!!!!!!

If you are a Catholic who has been away from the Church for a while, this invitation is for you. 

Our faith community misses you and is incomplete without you.

No matter how long you’ve been away, and for whatever reason, We invite you to consider renewing your relationship with your fellow Catholics. 

Please join us for informal listening sessions and an update of the Catholic faith facilitated by former non-practicing Catholics. 

The sessions are conducted in a support-group format. 

Everyone is welcome. 

Sessions start Thursday, April 21 at 6:30 p.m. 

In Faith Hall at St. Raphael Catholic Church 

In Springdale and continue on the following five Thursdays (six sessions).

There is NO requirement to rejoin the Church. 

All sessions are free of charge. 

Week 1: Welcome, Overview of the Series, Faith Sharing 

Week 2: Sharing Stories of Faith 

Week 3: The Church Today: Changes since Vatican II

Week 4: Explanation of the Mass 

Week 5: Explanation of the Sacrament of Penance 

Week 6: Explanation of the Nicene Creed

SW A St between SW 7th St and SW 10th St as well as SW 8th St between SW B St and S Main St will be closed beginning 5:00am Monday, July 10th and is scheduled to open by 6:00pm on Wednesday, August 9th for road construction.
