Fayetteville Public Library recently issued the following announcement.
The specifics of taxes for nonprofit organizations is something hard to grasp for many new nonprofits. It is well understood that nonprofits do not have to pay taxes, but how do they report their finances? Do they need to save receipts? How do 990s work and where do they go? In this workshop, Diane from Grass Roots Taxes will help lead participants through dealing with taxes as a tax-exempt organization.
