77 percent of applicants to the University of Arkansas were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Arkansas, 91 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 53 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Fayetteville enrolled 27,778 students in fall 2018, including 23,386 in undergraduate and 4,392 in graduate programs, data shows. 5.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

50 percent of undergraduates are residents of Arkansas, and 49 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (76 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (9 percent).

The school admitted 77 percent of the 18,732 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 35 percent enrolled.
