FAYETTEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL: Bulldog Blitz & Freshmen Orientation Update

Update

Fayetteville High School issued the following announcement on July 23.

Due to a recent rise in COVID-19 numbers in Northwest Arkansas, changes have been made to Bulldog Blitz and Freshmen Orientation on August 3 and 4 at Fayetteville High School. PLEASE NOTE: This information is different from what was shared in the FHS Summer Newsletter, so please review carefully.

Bulldog Blitz will still be held on August 3 and 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on both dates, but in order to provide smaller group sizes, students and parents are encouraged to attend during the following time frames. If you have multiple children in different grade levels, please choose one of the sessions to attend.

Grade 12 - August 3, 2021 from 10:00 a.m .- 2:00 p.m.

Grade 11 - August 3, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Grade 10 - August 4, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Grade 9 - August 4, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Freshmen Orientation Days will still be held on Tuesday, August 3 for students with last names beginning A-L and Wednesday, August 4 for students with last names M-Z. Freshmen Orientation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. on both days in Bulldog Arena for all of our incoming 9th graders. The time frame and activities have changed to accommodate social distancing. These are student only events, so parents should drop students off at school and pick them up at the conclusion of the orientation.

To help protect our community from the spread of COVID-19, Fayetteville Public Schools is recommending that all staff, students, and anyone who enters any of our buildings or attends any school activities wear a mask. We are grateful for your assistance in keeping everyone healthy, so that we may continue to have school together!

If you have any questions about the changes to Bulldog Blitz and Freshmen Orientation, please do not hesitate to contact Fayetteville High School at 479-444-3050.
