St. Paul's Episcopal Church issued the following announcement on Dec. 30.
On Wednesday, January 5, all are invited to attend a traditional twelfth night burning of the greens + potluck at the Mayfield Farm. Dinner at 5:15 pm, Liturgy at 6:00 pm, Burning festivities at 6:30.
Two kinds of chili will be provided (one meaty and one vegetarian). Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring your Christmas tree or other greenery along with a salad, side, or dessert to share.
The Mayfield farm is located at 980 Rocky Lane, Fayetteville, AR, 72704. From downtown Fayetteville, it's about a 30-minute drive. A few paved spots and much off-road parking will be available.
