ST. PAUL'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH: Fake Email Scams

Img 26112019 080514 (1000 x 667 pixel)

St. Paul's Episcopal Church issued the following announcement on March 31.

If you receive an email or a text that looks like its from St. Paul’s personnel asking you for a favor—don't fall for it. This is a “whaling” scam. Whaling scams create fake communications from the “big fish” in an organization, usually an authority figure. If you receive an email like this and wonder if it might be a real request, do not respond.

As a reminder, nobody from St. Paul's will ever ask you to buy anything, even as a personal favor.
