PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) issued the following announcement on June 7.
Acquisition makes firm a dominant player in the cloud space
PwC US announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire certain assets of Netrovert, a consultancy that focuses on enterprise integration, largely on the Salesforce MuleSoft platform.
This acquisition positions PwC as a leading player in cloud integration technology and further establishes the firm as a preeminent digital business partner. PwC has recently been recognized by the IDC Analyst community as a Leader in the Worldwide Cloud Professional Services arena, which is a strong testament to its people and capabilities.
Cloud capabilities are key to PwC’s ability to deliver both trust and outcomes for clients in an increasingly digital world. The acquisitions of Netrovert, ACTS and EagleDream have helped strengthen and solidify the firm’s position in the cloud services landscape.
Netrovert is a proven leader in the MuleSoft ecosystem, and currently works on some of the largest and most successful MuleSoft engagements in the marketplace, including as a subcontractor to MuleSoft Professional Services. Combined with PwC’s strong MuleSoft capabilities, this acquisition will position PwC as a market leader among Mulesoft System Integrators.
“Today’s organizations are distributed ecosystems of employees, customers and suppliers—all with different processes and systems,” said Cenk Ozdemir, PwC US Cloud and Digital Leader. “Together with Netrovert, we’ll help clients enable a seamless flow of data and protect that data across their entire cloud ecosystem—helping our clients enable their digital business models, unlock value and build trust.”
PwC’s global strategy, The New Equation, brings the best of its people and technology to help clients build trust and deliver sustained outcomes. The firm is committed to expanding its talent, capabilities and technology in core areas critical to today’s business issues—with cloud being a top priority.
“As leaders in integration and workflow automation services spanning on-premises and cloud-based apps, data, and devices, we look forward to augmenting PwC's business transformation capabilities with our extensive technical expertise,” said Ravi Lam, Netrovert CEO. “We will create compelling value for our clients by extending our integration capabilities beyond technology to include strategy and delivery, as well as guidance on organization, culture, process, control, cybersecurity, and governance.”
The proliferation of endpoints—such as apps, systems, processes and data—and the influx of third-party cloud services is creating an extraordinarily complex integration environment. This presents an opportunity to streamline and create a better experience—and that’s where Netrovert and PwC come in.
“PwC and Netrovert help their clients learn how to use technology to protect and build trust with one of their most valued assets – their customers,” said Eric Eyken-Sluyters, Mulesoft Chief Revenue Officer. “Their business expertise, combined with Salesforce’s leading technology, will help connect the business' ‘why’ with the technology ‘how.’ That combination of software accelerators and industry experience with robust cloud engineering capabilities will be a game-changer for their clients.”
PwC believes in the power of the cloud to unlock innovation and value—and deliver sustained business outcomes. Together, PwC and Netrovert will help companies innovate faster and deliver large scale digital transformations by connecting their business systems, applications and data.
