UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS: New Student Pep Rally to Be Held Sunday in Razorback Stadium

The New Student Pep Rally will be held Sunday, Aug. 21, in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the pep rally will start at 7:30 p.m. The event will be broadcast live on the Division of Student Affairs Facebook page and TikTok account (@uarkstudents).

"We would like to welcome all new students to the University of Arkansas," said Trisha Blau, associate director of student activities. "University Programs is excited to have students back on campus and taking part in one of our longest running traditions — the New Student Pep Rally!"

Students may start lining up at 6:30 p.m. outside of gate 17, which can be accessed using the stairwell off Stadium Drive between Barnhill Arena and the Bev Lewis Center. For those students who need access due to disability, please utilize gate 16.

"We will be following game-day procedures, so students should be ready to enter the stadium the way they will during game day, including following the clear bag policy," Blau said. "Don't bring or do anything that will mess with the integrity of the stadium and the field such as glitter, streamers and paint. No signs, water bottles and other personal items will be allowed on the field."

"The New Student Pep Rally is a great way for students to learn our U of A traditions and kick off the semester," Blau said. "In addition, we are excited to announce that we will once again be taking a class picture on the football field (pending field conditions) immediately after the pep rally."

Follow University Programs on social media platforms (Instagram and Twitter @uparkansas) for more information and for any updates to the event due to possible changing weather conditions.
