Cliff Harris was born on November 12, 1948, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He played college football at Ouachita Baptist University. After going undrafted in 1970, he signed with the Dallas Cowboys. Harris played free safety for the team from 1970 to 1979. He appeared in five Super Bowls and won two. He was selected to six Pro Bowls. He was also named to the NFL 1970s All-Decade Team. Harris played 141 regular season games and made 29 interceptions. He gained recognition for his consistent performance and leadership. In 2020, he was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. His achievements are linked to Fayetteville, where he was born and began his journey.
