WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE: Scam Alert

0Comments

There is a scam going around Washington County where citizens are receiving phone calls and are made to believe we are asking for payments over the phone. The Fayetteville Police Department does not call and collect money for fines over the phone.

If you believe you have fines or cost to be paid, please call the Fayetteville Police Department at 479-587-3555 or your local law enforcement agency, prior to making any payment over the phone. If a citizen wishes to make a payment over the phone with the Court, they should initiate that call themselves to ensure they are speaking to the appropriate entity.

Please be diligent and safeguard your personal and financial information.
